In 2022, Dr. Tóth established the Institute for Transgenerational Trauma Transfer Research at Sigmund Freud University Vienna, leading it for three years. She has built an international team of experts, mentored young scholars from around the world, and created activities bridging academic research on contested memories in Central and Eastern Europe with the public—many of whom still lack words for their families' experiences over recent decades.
